On July 23rd at the Ukrainian Catholic University will be conducted a Round-table “Data protection in Ukraine: Challenges and Perspectives of development”, which is co-organized by the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights and the Rule of Law Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University. The event will take place within the Project “Strengthening Information Society in Ukraine”.
During the Round-table the questions of the current state of personal data protection in Ukraine, the problems of the legal regulation in this sphere and main directions of the improving of this system will be discussed. The participants of the Round-table will become Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska, Head of the Informational Society Department of the Council of Europe Patrick Penninx, Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University for the administration and development Myroslav Senyk, the Chief of the Project “Strengthening Information Society in Ukraine” Roman Chlapak, Representative of the Commissioner for personal data protection Markiyan Bem and others.
Target audience are practicing lawyers and all interested in the personal data protection.
The event will take place on July 23rd at the Academic building of the Ukrainian Catholic University (r. 405).
Start of the registration – 11:30.
After the event the coffee break and networking are planned.
